Welcome to the Curiosity Demo.
About the Demo:
===============
The demo itself is an executeable file written in AMOS by
Syscrusher. All of the graphics, except the font used for the credits
are the work of Booger Blaster. All sound was done by Syscrusher, and the
music is an adaptation of Fran Bjorn's `Alley Cat' done by Syscrusher and
Booger Blaster.
Running the Demo:
=================
The animation can be run from floppy by either booting the disk,
(If you have a 1Mb machine, this may be the only way to get it to run
on your system, as most people's Workbench does not leave enough memory
for the animation to run) or it can be launched from the Workbench by
clicking its icon. (If you have the memory.) To leave the demo, press the
left mouse button during the opening credits.
Installing the Demo:
====================
To install the animation onto your hard drive, just run the
supplied "Curinstall" program from the Workbench or shell. There is a
readme file in the program that explains its use.
Note for 1Meg Users:
====================
Depending on the size of your Workbench, you may have to boot the
animation from the floppy to get it to run. If it crashes, try turning
your computer off for about five minutes to let all of the memory reset
completely, then run palcon if you are a PAL user, and reset to boot the
animation. If this seems like a pain, don't blame me. It isn't my fault
that the Amiga's memory fragments the way that it does, besides, just
think of all the animations that just won't run with one Meg.
The Hidden Mode:
================
There is a hidden mode in this demo, and I really think that it
is worth seeing, so I made it very easy to find. Just watch the demo
about a half-dozen times in a row, and it will tell you exactly how to
do it. I guess I should add that the instruction you will be given only
works during the opening credits, but once you know how, you don't have
to wait for the instruction before you can enter the hidden mode.
Distribution:
=============
SPREAD THIS DEMO!!!!!
If you think that it's any good, that is. We have put a lot of
work into its production, so we would really like to see it spread as
far as possible. Also, we are very interested in keeping track of how
far it spreads, so if you can spare the time, and a few measly cents for
a stamp, please send a postcard or something, with (almost) any comments
or suggestions to:

Send email to:

I would ask, however that this file be spread, unaltered, with
the animation. Not a lot to ask, is it?
Thank you and enjoy the show.
